Talented and sharp, charismatic and warm hearted, he eventually became a real estate baron, TV entertainer, politician, author, scholar and philanthropist. He was also a covert political adviser who had both the opportunity and the interpersonal skills necessary to make history; he played an important role in the final formation of the Camp David peace agreement between Israel and Egypt. He died in March 2016, leaving his wife, Tzili, and their two sons.
